FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – The Philippine Army commemorated the heroism of Korean War Veterans through a Wreath-Laying Ceremony at the Korean War Memorial Pylon in connection with the celebration of the 24th Korean War Veterans Memorial Day of the Philippines and the 64th Anniversary of the PEFTOK Veteran's Association, Inc. (PVAI) at the Libingan ng mga Bayani, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on September 09, 2023.
The event pays tribute to the valor and sacrifice of the PEFTOK members who bravely defended their stations against the combined forces of North Korea and the Chinese People's Volunteer Army during the Korean War. Real Admiral Roberto Santos PN (Ret), Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) officials, and esteemed PEFTOK Veterans Association Inc. members graced the ceremony.
The Army leadership recognizes the profound significance of memorializing the sacrifices made by our war heroes who showed resilience, bravery, and unwavering spirit.
