Army special enlistees hurdle the 16-week basic military training

Army special enlistees who belong to the Candidate Soldier Course (CSC) "Mahigmayan" Class of 759 - 2023 concluded their 16-week Basic Military Training (BMT) in a closing ceremony at Makabulos Grandstand, Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac on September 28, 2023.
 
The class has a total of 371 Privates and Corporals composed of 224 males and 147 females, who are nurses, athletes, engineers, teachers, journalists, cyber and information technology professionals, and civil servants. Pvt. Joveth T. Pasagdan earned the top 1 position with an overall average of 93.73%. Cpl. Daniel Brenn A. Noveloso secured the top 2 followed by Pvt. Marvin T. Catisay as the top 3. Moreover, Pvt. Marylyn A. Avila was honored with the Chief of Staff, TRADOC Physical Proficiency Award, earning a grade of 99.56% in the Physical Fitness Test.
 
Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Commander Maj. Gen. Luis Rex D. Bergante served as the guest of honor and speaker who emphasized the significance of integrity, discipline, and unwavering commitment to service. “The challenges you have faced, both physical and mental, have tested your limits and pushed you to grow beyond what you thought was possible. You’ve learned to work as a team, to trust your fellow soldiers, and to adapt to any situation. These skills will be the foundation of your success as you embark on your military career,” Maj. Gen. Bergante said.
 
The Army leadership lauded the TRADOC on their dedication to offer the highest standard of training for the new Army special enlistees to become responsive and reliable partners in their areas of assignment in various Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Philippine Army Major and Support Units.
