The Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP) Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. reiterated his thrusts to the Army personnel during his official visit at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on October 2, 2023.
In his traditional “Talk to Troops,” the AFP Chief of Staff emphasized his five focus areas on the AFP’s comprehensive command guidance encapsulated in the word, "UNITY": "U" for Unification of our Organization and our Communities, "N" for Normalization in the Bangsamoro Region, "I" for Internal Security Operations, "T" for Territorial Defense, and "Y" for Youth Development.
The CSAFP discussed the significance of the PA’s modernization projects that would bolster the land domain defense and capacitate the country's land force's credible defense posture from various threats locally and internationally.
Lastly, the CSAFP has also urged the Army troops to remain steadfast in their responsibilities as they play a significant part in capacitating the Army towards greater mission effectiveness especially in the areas of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) efforts for calamity victims, advancement of information and cybersecurity posture, and the development of reserve force.
