Army candidate soldiers commence military training in Capas, Tarlac

The Candidate Soldier Course (CSC) Class 790-2023 commenced their four-month Basic Military Training (BMT) during the opening ceremony conducted at the Makabulos Grandstand, Camp O'Donnell, Capas, Tarlac on October 3, 2023.
 
The candidate soldiers comprised 64 females and 145 males who will undergo the BMT for 16 weeks with lectures and exercises. The BMT provides the basic foundation to strengthen their physical ability and acquire basic soldiery skills. The training builds unity, discipline, character, and camaraderie among the trainees as the future defenders of the country.
 
Training and Doctrine Command Deputy Commander Brig. Gen. Alvin V. Flores served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, underscoring that the BMT will help them hone their marksmanship skills, build camaraderie, instill discipline, and foster patriotism. "Training is not made for punishment but for you to become competent and capable soldiers. You are defenders of our country," the Brig. Gen. Flores ended.
