HHSG welcomes new Acting Commander

The Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group (HHSG), Philippine Army welcomed its new Acting Commander in a Change of Command and Retirement Ceremony presided over by the Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido at Headquarters Philippine Army Grandstand, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on October 4, 2023.
 
Col. Emilio R. Pajarillo Jr. will take the helm as the Acting Commander of the HHSG. Prior to his position, he was the Chief of the Governance and Strategy Management Office (GSMO) of the 7th Infantry Division.
He also held leadership roles such as Deputy Brigade Commander and Human Rights Officer of the 201st Infantry Brigade; Chief of the Career Management Division under the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP); and Commandant of the Division Training School under the 5th Infantry Division (5ID). He holds a Master's in Public Management from the Development Academy of the Philippines and a Master's in National Security Administration from the National Defense College of the Philippines. Col. Pajarillo belongs to the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) "Sambisig" Class of 1991.
 
Meanwhile, Brig. Gen. Moises M. Nayve Jr., who served as the HHSG Commander since October 2022, will retire after almost 37 years. He held diverse military positions such as the Chief of the Army Adjutant, Commandant of the Special Forces School, Special Forces Regiment (Airborne), Commander of the 4th Special Forces Battalion, Chief of Academy Staff of the PMA; Deputy Commander of SFR(A) and Deputy Brigade Commander of the 902nd Infantry Brigade, 9th Infantry Division. He holds a Master's in Public Management from the Development Academy of the Philippines and a Master's in Defense Analysis from the US Naval Postgraduate School. Brig. Gen. Nayve also belongs to the PMA Class of 1991.
 
Lt. Gen. Galido expressed his gratitude to Brig. Gen. Nayve for his dedication to the service. Meanwhile, he also relayed his guidance to the new acting commander, "To. Col. Pajarillo, you have a big task ahead. I want you to focus all activities on the essential undertaking that we prioritize the morale and welfare of our soldiers, and our camp premises should be safe and secure for those who are living and working here," Lt. Gen. Galido ended.
