City of Malabon University tops the Army Athletics event

The Philippine Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) cadets from the City of Malabon University (CMU) bagged the most awards among the eight categories of Athletics event in the Philippine ROTC Games 2023 during an awarding ceremony at the PhilSports Complex Track and Field Oval, Pasig City on October 11, 2023.
 
The CMU snagged three gold in the 4x100-meter relay men and 4x400-meter relay men and women, along with four silvers and a bronze in other categories. They were followed by the Rizal Technological University (RTU), which also bagged three golds in the 100-meter men and women and 200-meter men, while one silver in the 200-meter women category. On the third spot, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) Sta. Mesa clinched one gold in the 4x100-meter relay women and one silver in the 4x400-meter relay women.
 
The Army leadership lauded the Army ROTC cadets for showcasing the Army's brand of excellence in their chosen sport and cultivating teamwork and camaraderie with their peers to be good role models in their universities and institutions.
