The Philippine Army emerged as Champion in the Relay (Men and Women) and Tug of War (Women) competition, copping gold medals during the Armed Forces of the Philippines-Philippine National Police-Philippine Coast Guard- Bureau of Fire- Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (AFP-PNP-PCG-BFP-BJMP) Olympics 2023 at Lapulapu Grandstand, General Headquarters, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on October 10, 2023.
The Relay, under categories of 4x100-meter and 6x100 (Officers and Enlisted Personnel), was dominated by Team Army. Moreover, men athletes won the bronze in Tug of War while women clinched the gold place. The AFP-PNP-PCG-BFP-BJMP Olympics is an annual goodwill sports event for uniformed personnel to foster sportsmanship and camaraderie between soldiers and law enforcers.
The Army leadership commended the Team Army for giving their best effort to win in the Relay and Tug of War competition which reflects the values of excellence, teamwork, and camaraderie that are significant to the Army.
