Army nabs overall championship in Military and Uniformed Personnel Olympics 2023

The Philippine Army emerged as the four-time overall champion in the recently concluded Military and Uniformed Personnel Olympics 2023 on November 9, 2023, at the Lapu-Lapu Grandstand, Camp Gen. Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
 
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido received the award during the event's Closing Ceremony. Following the Army in the overall standings are the Philippine Air Force as the 1st Runner-up and the Philippine Navy as the 2nd Runner-up.
 
The Olympics, which started on October 10, included participants from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Philippine National Police, the Philippine Coast Guard, the Bureau of Fire Protection, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and the Bureau of Corrections.
 
Lt. Gen. Galido commended the Army athletes for their display of great sportsmanship and camaraderie and for showcasing the Army's excellence in the field of sports.
