Galido at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on February 2, 2024.
In his remarks during the entrance briefing, the Army Chief highlighted the importance of AGI in identifying areas of improvement and ensuring the Army’s responsiveness. The CGPA said the results of the AGI are crucial in shaping the future of the country's ground force.
“Therefore, I emphasize the need for transparency in responding to the AGI Team’s inquiries and requests. Provide them with the necessary requirements for a thorough inspection,” Lt. Gen. Galido remarked. Prior to the entrance briefing, Lt. Gen. Crespillo, who served as the 35th Army Vice Commander last year, rendered a courtesy call to the Army Chief.
The AGI is projected to be conducted by OTIG, AFP from February to November 2024. The AGI serves as a management tool to assess if major services are able to accomplish their respective missions, ensure a high level of morale and welfare and discipline of troops, strengthen leadership, and guarantee the effective and efficient utilization of government resources.
