Army holds command conference with President Marcos Jr.

The Philippine Army held its first Command Conference for 2024 with the attendance of President and Commander-in-Chief, His Excellency Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos Jr. at the Malacañan Palace in Manila on May 14, 2024.
 
The Philippine Army top brass led by Army Chief Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido presented key accomplishments and plans of the Army in the performance of its mandate as the nation’s land force. Department of National Defense Sec. Gilberto C. Teodoro Jr., Executive Sec. Lucas P. Bersamin, Special Assistant to the President Sec. Antonio Ernesto F. Lagdameo, Jr., who holds a rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Army reserve force, and AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. attended the command conference.
 
During the conference, Lt. Gen. Galido and Philippine Army Major Unit (PAMU) commanders presented PA’s efforts in support of the Comprehensive Archipelagic Defense Concept and updates on the PA Capability Development Program. The Army leadership likewise conveyed its gratitude for the Commander-in-Chief’s guidance and continued support for the PA modernization efforts to become a truly modern, multi-mission ready, and cross-domain capable land force.
