Army chief underscores the value of readiness and training in 3ID’s golden jubilee

The 3rd Infantry “Spearhead” Division marked its 50th founding anniversary with the Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido as the guest of honor and speaker at the 3ID Grandstand, Camp. Gen. Macario B. Peralta Jr., Jamindan, Capiz on May 23, 2024.

 

During the anniversary, the CGPA awarded exemplary Spearhead Division line units and personnel in honor of their dedication to duty and responsibility to the nation and people. In his keynote speech, the Army Chief lauded Spearhead troopers for being a strong pillar in strengthening national security efforts especially and as a significant partner of government agencies in contributing to the peace and progress of the Visayas region.

 

Moreover, the CGPA also encouraged the troops to strive harder and practice perseverance especially during training. He exemplified that training will shape one’s sense of discipline - a desirable character in the Army. He also called on every officer and enlisted personnel to practice readiness and improvement - “Reboot your mindset, change your focus on a bigger perspective,” Lt. Gen. Galido said.
