PA, ULAP bolster partnership for nation-building

The Army top brass led by the Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido met with the Union of the Local Authorities of the Philippine (ULAP) delegation led by Quirino Gov. Dakila “Dax” Cua to bolster the PA-ULAP collaborative responses to various security threats in a meeting at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on May 31, 2024.

“Our discussions today highlight the importance of unity and cooperation. Your support is crucial as we work towards peace, security, and development in our communities,” the Army Chief remarked during the PA-ULAP meeting. “Let us turn today’s insights into action. Together, we can ensure every Filipino feels safe and empowered,” Lt. Gen. Galido added.

ULAP is the umbrella organization of all leagues of local government units (LGUs) and locally elected government officials. The league was formed in 1998 and currently serves as the focal representative and mouthpiece of the local government in all policy and program platforms to amplify a unified advocacy towards the strengthening of LGUs into able partners in nation-building.
