Army activates 1505th Community Defense Center in Dinagat Islands

Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido led the activation of the 1505th Community Defense Center (1505CDC) under the 15th Regional Community Defense Group (15RCDG) of the Reserve Command, Philippine Army (RCPA) at Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) Operation Center, Brgy. Sta. Cruz, San Jose, Dinagat Islands on June 13, 2024.

 

The activation aligns with the Philippine Army’s mission for the force to be more adaptable and equipped in handling the dynamic security landscape. The newly activated 1505CDC, led by Maj. Ferdinand L. Mopal, will support the 15RCDG in managing, capacitating, and organising the reserve forces and civilian volunteers in the area of Dinagat Islands and CARAGA region.

 

“This activation is a testament to our dedication to maintaining peace and security, providing vital assistance during disasters and fostering a stronger bond with the communities we serve," Lt. Gen. Galido remarked.
