Army installs new Army Provost Marshal

The Philippine Army welcomed Col. Nelson C. Aluad as the new chief of the Office of the Army Provost Marshal (OAPM) in a Change of Chief of Office Ceremony on June 6, 2023 at Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
 
Army Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Potenciano C. Camba presided over the ceremony where outgoing Acting APM chief Lt. Col. Rufino G. Bayangos Jr. relinquished his post to incoming chief Col. Nelson C. Aluad.
 
Col. Aluad is a member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “Bantay-Laya” Class of 1994. Prior to his new position, he led the Group Inspector General of the Presidential Security Group since 2022. He also held key positions as Chief of Staff of the PSG, Regiment Inspector General and Commandant of Artillery Training School, both under the Army Artillery Regiment.
 
Meanwhile, Lt. Col. Bayangos was commissioned through the rotation in active military service of the reserve officers in 1996. Before his designation as Acting APM, he served as the Executive Officer of the same office in 2016. He also led as the Chief of the Administration and Personnel Division under the Office of Ethical Standards and Public Accountability (OESPA) of the AFP and the Deputy of the Office of the Judge Advocate General (OJAG) of the 8th Infantry “Stormtroopers” Division (8ID).
 
During the ceremony, Maj. Gen. Camba extended his well-wishes to the chiefs for unfolding a new chapter in their military career.
 
“Col. Aluad, congratulations on your new designation. I am confident that your accumulated experiences and competencies will enable you to implement sound decisions crucial in maintaining our reputable image as soldiers of our country,” said Maj. Gen. Camba.
