Commander, 11th Infantry Division

MAJOR GENERAL com11 LEONARDO I PEÑA, a proud and full-blooded Batangueño, was born on November 6, 1969. He is a distinguished member of the prestigious Philippine Military Academy (PMA) "Sambisig" Class of 1991. With over three decades of dedicated service, Maj. Gen. Peña has built a reputation as a skilled and strategic leader in the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Before assuming his current post, he served as the Assistant Division Commander of the 3rd Infantry "Spearhead" Division, where he played a pivotal role in the division’s mission of securing peace and stability in the Visayas region. His leadership was instrumental in addressing critical security challenges, and he is widely respected for his ability to manage both operational and administrative duties with precision.

His academic background is as impressive as his military career. Maj. Gen. Peña holds a Master of Science in Defense Analysis from a top-tier institution in the United States, equipping him with advanced strategic thinking and analytical skills crucial for modern warfare and defense planning. Additionally, he earned a Masters in Public Management, with a specialization in Development and Security, from the Development Academy of the Philippines.
