Assistant Division Commander, 11th Infantry Division

col ampatuanBGEN ALEXEI C MUSÑGI PA is currently the Assistant Division Commander of the 11th Infantry (ALAKDAN) Division, Philippine Army. His dedication, passion to service, and excellence as a way of life are his strong professional attributes that enabled him to assume the 2nd highest position in the 11th Infantry “ALAKDAN” Division on 19 January 2024.

He was commissioned in the Philippine Army after graduating as a part of the Philippine Military Academy "Maalab" Class of 1993.

As a young officer, he was sent to 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division, PA in Western Mindanao and served in various capacities such as a platoon leader, company commander, battalion operations officer, and brigade intelligence officer.

BGEN MUSÑGI has been assigned in various posts throughout his career to include being the Assistant Chief of Staff for Plans, G5 of Training and Doctrine Command, PA; Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations, G3 of 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division; Commander of 24th Infantry Battalion and 48th Infantry Battalion, 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division; Deputy Director of the Army Personnel Management Center (APMC); Director of the Joint and Combined Training Center (JCTC) of AFP Education, Training and Doctrine Command; and as Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations, G3, Philippine Army. Prior to his assignment at JTF-NCR, he was the Commander of 1002nd Brigade of the 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, PA.

He finished various military schoolings and trainings, both local and foreign, including the Defense and Strategic Studies Course at the Australian Defense College. He also holds a Certificate in Strategic Business Economics Program, University of Asia and the Pacific; a Master’s Degree in Public Management Major in Development and Security at the Development Academy of the Philippines; and Master’s Degree in International Relations at Deakin University, Australia.

BGEN MUSÑGI has received a number of different awards including the Distinguished Service Star, Gold Cross Medal, Gawad sa Kaunlaran, Bronze Cross Medal, Outstanding Achievement Medal, Military Merit Medal, among others. He was also a recipient of various commendations and honors from the civilian sector.
