Alakdan Division enhances collaboration with MSAB

The 11th Infantry "Alakdan" Division's Multi-Sector Advisory Board (MSAB) convened its first quarter of 2023 meeting at its headquarters in Camp Teodulfo Bautista,Barangay Busbus, Jolo, Sulu on May 25,2023.

According to Col. Alex H. Gagula, Chief of Governance Strategic Management Office, "The purpose of the summit is to promote the continuity, sustainability, and shared responsibility of the Division's transformation roadmap in order to pursue a standard of excellence in the performance of its mandate in accordance of good governance. It will also identify ways to further enhance the Alakdan Division's peace and security campaign in the Province of Sulu."

The salient points of the summit were the Annual Accomplishment of 11ID, determination of MSAB Plan for calendar year 2023, impact of 11ID's transformation in the province of Sulu, and Election of MSAB new set of Officers.

Prof. Nagder J. Abdurahman, the newly-appointed Chairperson of the MSAB said, "The presence of the Alakdan Division gives stability and contributes a lot in the progress of peace and development in the province. Your performance is the sole manifest that we are on the way to a world-class Army. As part of the MSAB, we will work with you in the successful implementation of your Transformation Roadmap."

Meanwhile, Maj. Gen. Ignatius N. Patrimonio, Commander of 11th Infantry Alakdan Division said, “The Alakdan Division continues to strive for excellence in its peace and security campaign which is based on the principles of good governance and involves the engagement of our partner stakeholders. Our goal of having "a world class Army; multi-mission ready, Cross Domain Capable by year 2040" will be realized through your support to the 11ID."

The MSAB is an external advisory group tasked to provide expert advice on the concerns on Transformation Roadmap related to Governance and Policy, Resource Generation, Strategic Communication, and Research and Education. MSAB members are volunteer experts from the government, non-government, religious, media, youth, and other private sectors.
