The 11th Infantry "Alakdan" Division donned ranks to the newly-commissioned reserve Officers during the Flag Raising Ceremony at its headquarters in Camp Teodulfo Bautista, Barangay Busbus, Jolo, Sulu on May 29, 2023.
Maj. Gen. Ignatius N. Patrimonio, Commander of the Joint Task Force (JTF) Sulu and 11th Infantry "Alakdan" Division donned ranks to Lt. Col. Ajan S. Ajijul, Sulu 1st District Engineer, MPW BARMM and Lt. Col. Percival J. Piñero, Teacher In-charge of Muhammad Jajurie Elementary School.
In his message, Lt. Col. Piñero said, "Being a military is part of my bloodline where they served and sacrificed their lives to achieve peace. I am happy that my family is proud of me and has their full support for being a commissioned reserve officer. I will strive to become a military role model in my field through the guidance of Allah."
In his message Lt. Col. Ajijul said, "I have always a high reverence for the notably courageous members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and to be even considered as one of them is already a great honor. As a reserve officer, I will be able to have a greater chance to give more hope to our communities in terms of pushing for development. May we work hand in hand to the road of peace and prosperity in the province of Sulu."
Meanwhile, Maj. Gen. Patrimonio congratulated the newly-commissioned Reserve Officers saying, "The donning of your ranks in front of the men and women of the 11ID is a testament of our recognition to this milestone of your respective professional careers. I have witnessed the remarkable contributions you give that greatly supported and complemented our efforts in achieving the relative peace in the province of Sulu. "
"Since the birth of the 11th Infantry Division, our reservists in Sulu have been playing an active role in the conduct of operations other than war. They have been working with us side by side in ensuring the delivery of quality service to our people. Your voluntarism has reached the exceptional level that even at the expense of your personal resources. Your reliability and performance are beyond expectations and will create an impact in our desire of peace and stability in Sulu," Maj. Gen. Patrimonio ended.
The donning of ranks was witnessed by the Officers, Enlisted Personnel, and the civilian human resource of the 11th Infantry Division, and Sulu 1st Engineering District staff.
