Director Eshan Karl O. Mabang, Director of Land Management Services of the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Energy- BARMM hands over the first military patent title in Sulu to Maj. Gen. Ignatius N. Patrimonio, Commander of the 11th Infantry "Alakdan" Division at Camp Bud Datu in Barangay Tagbak, Indanan, Sulu on May 30, 2023.
In his message, Mr. Mabang said “This is the first ever special patent that have been issued by the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. Through this patent, we are helping our fellow public servants from the Armed Forces of the Philippines as this patent is one of the requirements in improving your camp."
Meanwhile, Maj. Gen. Patrimonio said, "I feel humbled and honor to accept the land title of Kuta Heneral Teodulfo Bautista as a military reservation. This is a history in the making since we have desired for several years a place that the military could call home and it is now realized. It also sends a signal to the Armed Forces of the Philippines that it could now push through on its full-blast development program for the area."
"We are forever grateful to the people who made this possible especially to MENRE BARMM. Rest assured that every member of 11th Infantry "Alakdan" Division will commit themselves to the highest standard of stewardship to ensure that the ultimate purpose of a military reservation will be upheld" Maj. Gen. Patrimonio concluded.
The MENRE-BARMM is the primary agency responsible for the exploration, utilization, management, conservation, protection and sustainable development of the region’s environment, natural resources and potential energy source.
