Military joins the Regional Joint Peace and Security Coordinating Committee

Government security officials participated in the Regional Joint Peace and Security Coordinating Committee meeting held at Bigkis-Lahi, Camp BGen Salipada K Pendatun, Parang, Maguindanao on June 30, 2023.
Maj. Gen. Ignatius N. Patrimonio, Commander of the 11th Infantry "Alakdan" Division and Joint Task Force Sulu and Police Brig. Gen. Allan C. Nobleza, Regional Director of Police Regional Office - BAR presided over the JPSCC meeting, which included the updates on the security situation in their respective area of responsibility; issues of social concern and as well as security environment and preparations for the upcoming Barangay Sangguniang Kabataan Election CY 2023.
During the meeting, PRO-BAR presented updates on their anti-criminality and illegal drugs campaign and police community relations. For the military's parts, they discussed the current situation of their AOR, citing their operational accomplishments, Developmental Projects, different strategies and approaches in ending Local Armed Conflict.
Meanwhile, Maj. Gen. Patrimonio in his message of guidance said that, "We must sort diligently to prevent any acts of violence. It is essential that the law enforcement agencies and security forces act in accordance to the rule of law, respecting the human rights and proctecting the rights of every individual. We gathered here today, let us reaffirm our commitment ensuring the security and integrity of the upcoming Barangay Sangguniang Kabataan Election."
"By working together, sharing expertise and fostering cooperation, we can create an environment that upholds the principles of democracy, promotes peace and safeguard the will of the people. Rest assured that the 11ID and JTF Sulu will continue to deliver excellent services to prevent conflict and promotes sustainable peace," Maj. Gen. Patrimonio concluded.
To be recalled, the province of Sulu was recorded as the most peaceful and orderly election in the history of the province during the recently concluded May 9, 2022 National and Local Elections.
