Camp Bautista, Jolo, Sulu - July 13, 2023
159 successful operations was made through the Sulu Surgical Outreach Program held at Camp Teodulfo Bautista Station Hospital and Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) in Jolo, Sulu from July 11-13, 2023.
Maj. Gen. Ignatius N. Patrimonio, Commander of the 11th Infantry Division and Joint Task Force Sulu expressed his gratitude to the doctors, nurses and volunteers for the success of the event. "We are grateful to all medical practitioners who dedicated their time and effort in this surgical outreach program."
Around 159 total number of surgeries conducted, 37 were considered major and 122 were minor. The said patients who had undergone surgeries will continue with the support of the medical assistance program given by the GMA Kapuso Foundation Inc. (GMAKFI).
Among the health conditions that they treated were Thyroidectomy; Cholecystectomy; Herniorrhapy; Mastectomy; Hemorrhoidectomy; Fistulectomy; Cyst Removal; Uterine Myomectomy; Cleft Lip Repair; Pull-through Surgery;Posterior Sagittal Anorectoplasty (PSARP); and, Colostomy.
