The 11th Infantry Division held a Peace Forum centered on the themed "MNLF and its Peace Journey with GPH: The Challenges and its Relevance in Sulu" held at Sumadja Hall, Sulu Area Coordinating Center, Patikul, Sulu on August 3, 2023.
The forum served as a platform on the discussions of the implementation of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) transformation program and Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) Normalization Process, updates on current peace process and other peace efforts.
Maj. Gen. Ignatius N. Patrimonio, Commander of the 11th Infantry Division and Joint Task Force Sulu said, "This peace forum will serve as a catalyst for positive change and it fosters understanding among the stakeholders, builds trust, and promotes adaptability and resilience for future endeavors."
"Rest assured that your Alakdan Division will work tirelessly to ensure the synergy of the efforts and the mutual trust developed between the government and the Peace Inclined Groups are maintained and strengthened," Maj. Gen. Patrimonio concluded.
Among the key lectures of the forum were Atty. Nabil A. Tan, Deputy Speaker of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority-BARMM; Atty. Jose Lorena, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Human Settlement and Development, BARMM; and Bishop Charlie Inzon, Apostolic Vicar of Jolo Vicariate.
