11SSBn welcomes new Commander
Camp Teodulfo Bautista Jolo, Sulu - September 27, 2023
Lt. Col. Jay V. Remotigue took helm as the new Commanding Officer of the 11th Service Support Battalion in a Change of Command Ceremony held at Camp Teodulfo Bautista, Jolo, Sulu on September 22, 2023.
Maj. Gen. Ignatius N. Patrimonio, Commander of the 11th Infantry "Alakdan" Division, who officiated the ceremony, conferred the Plaque of Appreciation
and pinned the Military Merit Medal to Lt. Col. Erwin S. Coronado for his invaluable service and untiring efforts rendered as the Commander of 11SSBn.
In his message, Lt. Col. Coronado said, "The support, guidance and trust has become the pillars of this battalion. I have witnessed the remarkable and resilience of this unit. I want to thank each and everyone for the unwavering support and untiring dedication. It is a privilege to serve as your battalion commander and I hope that our path will cross again in the future."
Lt. Col. Remotigue, the newly-installed Commanding Officer expressed his gratitude saying, "I am grateful for the trust and confidence that this Command entrusted to me. I assure you that we will continue what my predecessor have started. To the troops of 11SSBn let us strive hard for excellence."
Meanwhile, Maj. Gen. Patrimonio said, "For more than two years of handling the 11SSBn, Lt. Col. Coronado has displayed the brand of leadership that makes him and his unit excel and became efficient especially in the fiels of logistics and service support. As we bid farewell to one exeptional leader, we look forward to the promise of new begginings with the arrival of our incoming commander, Lt. Col. Remotigue. I know that you have big shoes to fill and we expect nothing but your best version."
Prior to his post, Lt. Col. Remotigue served as the Deputy Logistics Chief of the Division. He is a member of Officer Preparatory Course Class of 2003.
