Maj. Gen. Steve Crespillo visited the three brigades under the Joint Task Force Orion in their respective headquarters on September 25-26, 2023.
The said visit is part of his commitment to boost the morale of troops and reiterate the command’s drive in sustaining the peace and security campaign in the province of Sulu.
During his visit, he was warmly welcomed by Brig. Gen. Eugenio C. Boquio, Commander 1101st Infantry "Gagandilan" Brigade; Brig. Gen. Giovanni T. Franza, Commander, 1102nd Infantry "Ganarul" Brigade; and Brig. Gen. Christopher C. Tampus, Commander of 1103rd Infantry "Kalis" Brigade. He was accompanied by Maj. Gen. Ignatius N. Patrimonio, Commander, JTF Orion.
In his talk to the troops, Maj. Gen. Crespillo commended the men and women for the accomplishments in maintaining peace and stability in their area of responsibility. He also directed the troops to remain focused on their mission. Likewise, he urged them to remain non-partisan and sustain collaboration with partner agencies and local government units to ensure the peaceful and orderly conduct of the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) 2023.
"As we face new challenges, let's strive hard in maintaining and sustaining our gains for peace and development here in Sulu. I commended our trooops for being competent and passionate in their works. Let's continue to perform our mandated task with the same passion and commitment to ensure the peace and stability in Sulu," said Maj. Gen. Crespillo.
