Camp Bautista, Jolo, Sulu - February 2, 2024
Maj. Gen. Ignatius N. Patrimonio, Commander of the Joint Task Force (JTF) Orion and 11th Infantry "Alakdan" Division warmly welcomed Sec. Gilberto Teodoro Jr., Secretary of National Defense upon his arrival at Jolo Airport, in Barangay Busbus, Jolo, Sulu on February 2, 2024.
Thereafter they proceeded to the Sulu Provincial Capitol to speak with Sulu Governor Abdusakur M. Tan. During the conversation, Gov. Tan provided his thoughtful insights and opinions regarding the People's Initiative on Charter Change. He also highlighted the Sulu Provincial Government's various initiatives in the transportation sector, which are aimed at bolstering disaster preparedness and air defense security.
As a background, Sec. Teodoro came from Tawi-tawi to witness the annual destruction of weapons under Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) and thought of visiting Sulu as well, since it has been several years since his last visit to the capitol.
During his visit Sec. Teodoro was accompanied by WestMinCom Commander, Lt. Gen. William N. Gonzales, Maj. Gen. Araus Robert Musico PAF, Brig. Gen. Aldrin Annani, Brig. Gen. Rocky Ninag, Rear Admiral Donn Anthony Miraflor, Brig. Gen. Racadio and other senior officers of Alakdan Division.
