Web team are preparing and practicing their skills for Creating and upgrading of the New PA Intranet and Internet Websites into the latest version of Joomla CMS application and other services the rapid development on internet technology made majority of the world-wide websites progress to become more attractive and interactive to its users that eventually left the PA Intranet and internet Websites outdated.
On 16 May 2017, Web team started to back-up the PA Intranet and Internet website from the server to update and upgrade the latest version. After backed-up the files of the PA intranet and Internet website Web Team the migrated and upgraded our CMS website into the latest version of Joomla CMS application. the previous PA Intranet and Internet Website were uploaded since CY 2015 for the access by its personnel and the public, respectively, to provide relevant information on the activities, operation and administration of the Philippine army using the Joomla CMS application version 3.4.8.
As of today we heard that many gov’t website including our PA website are facing security issue and this issue woke up our Web team personnel to be being vigilant and more secure for our websites
Nowadays because of the dynamic nature of web where technologies are changing rapidly, Joomla is also evolving. When Joomla came out and later stabilized over time, Joomla 1.5 became quite popular and millions of website were made with it. Now later on 1.6, 1.7 came out and eventually came more stable version 2.5.As of now our PA websites exist as Joomla 3x (3.4.8 version) despite the fact that major versions have been released by now. We are now in the period of Joomla 3x (3.7.2), so you can imagine how far behind our PA website on 3x (3.4.8) version must be in terms of updates and upgrades
