The installation team of Signal Installation and Maintenance Company ,3rd Signal Battalion Army Signal Regiment, Philippine Army is under the Operational Control (OPCON) of 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division, Philippine Army under the leadership of MAJ PETER D BINBINON JR (SC) PA, Acting Commanding officer, 3SigBn, ASR (P) Stationed at Camp Macario Peralta Jr , Jamindan Capiz.
The 3rd Sig Bn, ASR (P) was tasked by the higher headquarter to establish fixed communication facility through Small Capacity switch, Private Automatic Branch exchange (PABX) telephone equipment for the brigade headquarters of PAMU’s. This Telephone Systems or telephone is a telecommunications device that permits two or more users to conduct a conversation when they are too far apart to be heard directly. A telephone converts sound, typically and most efficiently the human voice, into electronic signals suitable for transmission via cables or other transmission media over long distances, and replays such signals simultaneously in audible form to its user.
The mission of 3rd Signal Battalion, Army Signal Regiment is “ To provide Signal Support for the Command and Control Communications and Cyber System (C4S) of the 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division, Philippine Army. ”. As part of the unit mission, the unit was able to install the first Brigade Telephone System Stationed at H302Bde , 3ID, PA Camp Rajah Sikatuna, Carmen Bohol and H303Bde, 3ID, PA Camp Gerona Brgy Minoyan, Murcia, Negros Occidental on 7 – 14 September 2017 with the untiring efforts CAFAC installation team led by CPT GLENN V MOLINA (SC) PA, BSSC, 3SigBn, ASR (P) in support to the Brigade administration and operational mission. Though the mandated tasks and scale of work to be done, the 3rd signal Installation team led by CPT GLENN V MOLINA (SC) PA, BSSC, 3SigBn, ASR (P) together with the Signal Platoon, BBSC Personnel’s successfully installed and attained its goal and was able to accomplish the mission by installing Brigade Telephone Systems which resulted ten (10 ) telephone line per brigade of 3ID, PA.
