On 01 February 2019, 12th Forward Service Support Unit, 1LSB (P), ASCOM, PA held its Simple set 27th Founding Anniversary with a theme, “Araw ng Pasasalamat at Pagpupugay". The memorable anniversary has been witnessed by MGEN BYRON H CALIMAG AFP, Commander ASCOM as special guest and Mr. Salehk B Mangelen representative of TESDA as guest of honor and speaker during program proper. Prior to the program proper, the unit conducted thanks giving mass attended by the personnel of the unit. During the program proper, one of the highlights was the giving of awards to the deserving personnel and stakeholder’s recognition. The last part of the celebration was the evening socials.
Before the Anniversary celebration on said date, 12FSSU under the command and leadership of LTC REX BANJO Q BUMANGLAG QMS (GSC) PA conducted series of activities like joint tree planting, clean-up drive and blood donation. The joint tree planting and clean up drive was participated not only by the personnel of 12FSSU but with the faculty and students of Notre-Dame – RVM College of Cotabato and ROTC students of Cotabato State Polytechnic College. Three hundred (300) ea non-fruit bearing (mahogany) trees were planted at Barangay Dimapatoy, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao and subsequently it was followed by a clean-up drive to said area. The blood donation activity was participated by the personnel of 12FSSU that was facilitated by personnel from office of Health Service in Cotabato City and Regional Medical Center Cotabato City. More or less 18,000 cc of blood were successfully collected from forty (40) organic personnel of 12FSSU. The greening program of planting trees and support to life blood donation activity was successfully conducted by this unit through linkages and support from different stakeholders.
