AFP Deputy Chief of Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs Maj. Gen. Joel Alejandro S. Nacnac, J9, led the cascading of the AFP Reserve Force Development (RFD) Strategy 2023-2028 at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on February 21, 2024.
Army Vice Commander Maj. Gen. Leodevic B. Guinid and the HPA General, Personal, Special and Technical Staff as well as Reserve Command, Philippine Army (Rescom) Commander Maj. Gen. Romulo A. Manuel attended the activity presided by Maj. Gen. Nacnac. The AFP RFD Strategy 2023-2028 is the overarching military document on developing the Reserve Force in terms of organization, capacity enhancement, equipage, administration, utilization, mobilization and sustainment.
Meanwhile, the Army Vice Commander said in his message that reserve force development is part of the "whole of nation" approach in dealing with various security threats.
