Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido led the wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Libingan ng mga Bayani, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on March 18, 2024, in honor of Army soldiers who paid the ultimate sacrifice to the nation and countrymen.
Moreover, the Army Chief Chaplain also spearheaded an interfaith service wherein they prayed for the safety and well-being of the Army troops, especially those who were deployed in far-flung areas.
“We honor the brave individuals who sacrificed for us. The courage they showed until their last breath was the ultimate act of heroism. Your loved ones' courage and generosity are our motivation and inspiration as we carry out our mission with honor, patriotism, and duty,” Lt. Gen. Galido said in his keynote address.
