Philippine Army, U.S. Army strengthen cybersecurity partnership

FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City– The Philippine Army (PA) bolstered its cybersecurity partnership with the U.S. Army during the visit of a PA delegation to the United States Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) Headquarters in Fort Huachuca, Arizona, U.S.A. on July 15, 2024.

Col. Windell Frederick T. Rebong, Deputy G6 of the Philippine Army and staff, and their U.S. Army counterparts exchanged cybersecurity best practices during the visit. "The exchange of cybersecurity best practices with our esteemed partners from the Philippine Army has been truly enlightening. It is through such collaborations that we strengthen our defenses and keep our networks secure,” NETCOM Commanding General Major General Christopher Eubank said during the discussions.

Meanwhile, Col. Rebong emphasized the importance of sharing knowledge and expertise in cybersecurity. "Visiting NETCOM and engaging in discussions about cybersecurity has been a valuable experience for us. By learning from each other, we can enhance our cybersecurity measures and better protect our respective assets,” he said.
