Army breaks ground for new housing facility, receives two trucks from AFPMBAI

The Philippine Army broke ground for a new modular housing facility for soldiers and received boom and man-lift trucks from the Armed Forces and Police Mutual Benefit Association, Inc. (AFPMBAI) during an inauguration and handover ceremony in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on September 19, 2024.

The new modular facility, located near the AFP Commissary and Exchange Service (AFPCES), will cater to the housing needs of Army troops assigned to Fort Bonifacio. It will complement the two-storey modular facility inaugurated by PA and AFPMBAI officials on April 2023.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Army also received two trucks from AFPMBAI which will be used for camp maintenance and construction projects within Fort Bonifacio. The boom truck will be used for power line repairs and vertical infrastructure project construction while the man-lift and crane trucks will be used for building repairs, streetlight maintenance, and tree trimming inside the camp.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to AFPMBAI for your unwavering support, for your donations that will further enhance our readiness and capabilities, and for acknowledging the sacrifices made by the hardworking men and women of the Philippine Army,” Army Vice Commander Maj. Gen. Leodevic B. Guinid said in his remarks on behalf of Army Chief Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido.
