Army distributes aid amid "Kristine" onslaught

FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City - Philippine Army's humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) teams commenced relief efforts for calamity-stricken communities as soldiers step up rescue efforts for flood-affected residents amid the onslaught of tropical storm "Kristine" on October 23, 2024.

Army rescuers and local disaster responders saved flood-affected families in the Bicol Region as other PA teams commenced relief efforts for communities that bore the brunt of the storm.

The Army leadership meanwhile assures the Filipino people of the Army soldiers and reservists' committment to help calamity-afflicted families even after the onslaught of "Kristine". "We are prepared and we stand ready to save lives," Army Chief Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido remarked.
