Naga City evacuees receive aid from Philippine Army and Australian Army troops

Troops from the 9th Infantry “Spear” Division (9ID) and the contingent from the Australian Army worked hand-in-hand to provide food packs to Naga City evacuees affected by the massive flooding due to Severe Tropical Storm “Kristine” on October 24, 2024.

It can be noted that Spear troopers and their Australian Army counterparts are training together for the "KASANGGA" 2024-2, the inaugural combined training exercise between Filipino and Australian ground forces in the Bicol Region. The said combined exercise is scheduled from October 14 to November 8, 2024.

The Philippine Army leadership assures the Filipino people of the HADR teams’ operational readiness and commitment to save lives amid the massive flooding brought about by “Kristine.” Army soldiers, reservists and CAA members are working ‘round the clock with government responders in rescuing flood-affected families and providing much-needed aid to calamity-stricken communities.
