Army rescues 150 stranded families in flood-hit Camarines Sur

FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – The light Urban Search and Rescue Team (USAR) of the 525th Combat Engineer “Forerunner” Battalion rescued 150 stranded families along the stretch of the Maharlika Highway from San Fernando town to Barangay Mabolo, Naga City, Camarines Sur on October 24, 2024.

Meanwhile, another light USAR team of the battalion arrived this morning at the Legazpi City International Airport in Albay to assist in the rescue efforts amid the widespread flooding caused by Severe Tropical Storm “Kristine” in the Bicol Region.

The Philippine Army stands in full solidarity with the Filipino people amidst this calamity. Army soldiers are deployed in various areas to ensure swift and effective rescue and relief operations in close coordination with local government units and national government agencies.
