FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – Army soldiers and reservists, in close cooperation with government agencies and local government units, are conducting relief efforts across the Bicol Region on October 26, 2024 in compliance with the president’s directive to facilitate a “conveyor belt of aid” in the aftermath of “Kristine,” the most destructive typhoon to affect the country this year.
Army soldiers assisted in the hauling and distribution of food packs during the visit of President and Commander-in-Chief President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in Bula, Camarines Sur on October 26. Meanwhile, Army personnel and reservists are working around the clock to repack, haul and distribute essential supplies to affected families in Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Albay, Sorsoson, Catanduanes and Masbate provinces.
The Army leadership assures full support for HADR teams that are deployed in various areas to conduct swift and effective rescue and relief operations in typhoon-affected areas.
