Executive Secretary lauds Army's "green mobility" shift

FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City - Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin lauded the Philippine Army's shift to "green mobility" as he led the blessing ceremony of newly acquired electric vehicles on October 29, 2024 at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

The Executive Secretary, in his keynote remarks, lauded the Philippine Army's e-vehicle acquisition project which contributes to the country's response to climate change. He added that the shift to e-vehicles also supports the government's commitment to "green mobility" and to wean away from dependence on traditional fossil fuels which harm the environment.

Meanwhile, Army Chief Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido reiterated the importance of environment and energy conservation and highlighted the Army's role in environmental protection. "As we strive for excellence in fitness, we must also safeguard the environment," Lt. Gen. Galido said during the ceremony attended by officers and enlisted personnel.
