Army calls for collective resilience in the ASEAN Region

FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – The Philippine Army (PA) hosted a welcome dinner for visiting Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Deputy Chief of Army (DCOAs) at the Hilton Hotel at the Clark Freeport Zone in Mabalacat, Pampanga on November 15, 2024.

The welcome dinner follows the opening ceremony of AARM 2024 which showcases the camaraderie of ASEAN's finest marksmen, symbolizing their collective commitment to peace and cooperation in the region.

The Vice Commander of the Philippine Army (VCPA) Maj. Gen. Leodevic B. Guinid, who served as the guest of honor and speaker, emphasized that the annual rifle meet has solidified the ASEAN armies’ “shared commitment to unity and mutual respect.”

“The Philippine Army is honored to host this year’s meet…Together, we foster not only individual excellence but also a collective resilience that supports the defense and security of our region,” the Army Vice Commander said in his remarks.
