FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – A 20-member rescue team from the 525th Combat Engineer “Forerunner” Battalion of the Combat Engineer Regiment rescued 42 individuals who were stranded in the massive flooding caused by Typhoon "Nika" in Barangay Bauan East, Solana, Cagayan on November 13, 2024.
The Forerunner rescue team is now on standby alert at the Office of Civil Defense Region 2 in Tuguegarao City amid the onslaught of Typhoon “Ofel” and the threat posed by incoming Typhoon “Pepito.”
The Army leadership assures the Filipino people of the Army HADR teams’ operational readiness and commitment to help save calamity-afflicted families and provide aid to communities affected by the recent successive storms that affected most of Luzon.
