Senate President Juan Miguel F. Zubiri visited the Headquarters Philippine Army (HPA), Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila to reaffirm the Upper Chamber’s support for the Philippine Army on May 22, 2023.
The Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. led the arrival honors for Sen. Zubiri while the Saluting Battery of the Army Artillery Regiment fired a 19-gun salute for the third highest official of the Philippine government.
The HPA staff also briefed Sen. Zubiri and his staff on the Philippine Army’s accomplishments, current efforts and thrusts as well as the concept of implementation for the proposed revival of the mandatory Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC).
