The Army General Hospital (AGH) received a new ambulance and cutting-edge medical equipment that will bolster its healthcare services in a hand-over ceremony graced by the Philippine Army (PA) and the Armed Forces and Police Mutual Benefit Association, Inc.(AFPMBAI) leadership at the AGH Main Lobby, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on May 23, 2023.
AFPMBAI President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) retired Brig. Gen. Bienvenido Y. Regondola led the turnover of a patient transport ambulance, digital mobile radiographic system, and 4D ultrasound machine with two probes to Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. and AGH Commanding Officer Col. Manuel Fidel M. Magtira during the ceremony.
Lt. Gen. Brawner conveyed his gratitude to AFPMBAI for its efforts to uplift the soldiers' quality of life. Lt. Gen. Brawner added that the AFPMBAI donation bolsters his thrust to ensure the physical as well as the mental health and well-being of soldiers, the Army’s most important resource.
“Be assured that the Philippine Army will ensure to maintain the functionality of these life-saving equipment as we continue to fulfil our core purpose of serving the people and securing the land,” the Army Chief said in his remarks. For his part, retired Brig. Gen. Regondola said that the donation is part of AFPMBAI’s commitment to allot part of its income for the social services-related programs of AFP's major service branches and the Philippine National Police.
