COL RONALD MOLINA BAUTISTA O-11949 MNSA (MI) PA Chief of Staff 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division, Philippine Army
Colonel Ronald M Bautista MNSA (MI) PA is a true-blooded “Bulakeño” having been born on 15 June 1973 in Valenzuela, Bulacan but raised in the Culinary Capital of the Philippines-Pampanga. He finished his Elementary Studies at San Roque Dau Elementary School in 1986 and completed his Secondary Education at San Roque Dau High School in 1990. After his first year in college at the Guagua National College, he was one of the lucky young boys who admitted as cadet in 1991 and became proud member of the Philippine Military Academy “Marilag” Class of 1995.
As young born 2nd Lieutenant in the Philippine Army, Col Bautista was first assigned with the 55th Infantry Battalion, a unit of the 1st (Tabak) Division in Mindanao Region where he served as Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, Company Commander and Battalion Staff.
After serving for six (6) years with the said unit, he was transferred to the 102Bde, 1ID in 2002 and held significant position as Bde Intelligence Officer and became the Commander of the Intelligence Training Unit, Intelligence Group, AFPJIC.
In 2003, he was reassigned to HSC, GHQ, AFP to undergo foreign schooling and held various positions such as Assistant S3, Security Officer and Staff Officer.
As he went up to the ladder in his military career, he held various positions in NCR such as Academic Instructor at SITS, ISAFP and Chief Intel and Operation Center at OJ2, GHQ, AFP in 2007. He was also assigned in Visayas Region and held various positions such as Counter Intelligence Officer, Anti-Terrorism Branch Officer and Deputy OG2, 3ID, PA.
As an intelligence officer, he was reassigned back to NCR and became the AC of S for Intel, G2 of ISG, PA in 2012; Commandant of the TIS, ISG, PA in 2013; Chief of Staff of ISG in 2016; and Chief, GSMO of ISG, PA in 2016. He also held other positions in the AFP as he became the Deputy Commander and Inspector General of AFPCES in 2015.
In 2018, Col Bautista was re-assigned to 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division and designated as Commanding Officer of 7th Military Intelligence Battalion and AC of S for Intel, G2 where various accomplishments he had been contributed in the Command’s mission. He was reassigned to HPA and became the Deputy Chief, AGSMO, PA in 2022. Currently, Col Bautista is the Chief of 7ID, PA where he formulates and announces policies for the general operation of the 7ID Staff.
As an accomplished officer, he is a recipient of various awards and commendations. Among of which is the Distinguished Service Stars, Gawad sa Kaunlaran, Sagisag ng Ulirang Kawal, Bronze Cross Medals, Silver Cross Medals, Military Merit Medals, Military Commendation Medals, Northern Maritime Frontier Campaign Medal & Ribbon and received numerous Letters of Commendation, Certificates of Recognition and Appreciations both from military and civilian sectors.
Col Bautista is happily married with Ms Cherry Panganiban Bautista and they were blessed with two (2) daughter and one (1) son namely: Annecy Cherie, Marianne Angeline, and Antonio Miguel
