SMS Alvin M Bacsa (Inf) PA Was born on 01 November 1973, at Santolan Road V- Luna Quezon City, He entered his military career on 01 October 1992 and Enlisted to Regular Force as PVT on 22 April 1993. He is the second child to 3 Siblings, of Mr Bienvinido Ballad Bacsa and Mrs Lawrence Mauyao Bacsa.
SMS Bacsa is former Brigade Sergeant Major of the 7O1st infantry (KAGITINGAN) Brigade, 7ID, PA was installed as Division Sergeant Major of the 7th Infantry (KAUGNAY) Division, Philippine Army at Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija on 27 October 2022
The turn-over and the retirement ceremony of his predecessor, Chief Master Sergeant Loreto D Martin ( Ags) PA was presided by MAJOR GENERAL ANDREW D COSTELO PA, Commander 7th Infantry (KAUGNAY) Division PA, at the Kaugnay Clubhouse.
Prior to his assumption, as Division Sergeant Major, SMS Bacsa held various significant position such as Company Radio Operator, Assistant Company driver, 7th Special Forces Company, SFRA, PA (VISAYAS) Regiment Radio Operator, SFRA, PA Operations NCO, and Platoon Sergeant, 7th Infantry (KAUGNAY)/Division PA,
He served as Battalion Sergeant Major of the
24th Infantry Battalion for more than 5 years and 3 months at Lagangilang, Abra Then, he was transferred to 48th infantry (GUARDIANS) Battalion, PA as Battalion Sergeant Major for 1 year and 3 months base in Surigao and Transfered to Pantukan Davao De Oro, and installed as Brigade Sergeant Major for 1 year and 6 months of 701st Infantry (KAGITINGAN) Brigade, base at Sitio Magay, Brgy Don Martin Marundan, Davao Oriental.( MINDANAO), he became also a member of 6th PCGH UN Contingent to Golan Heights who experienced going to Syria and Israel for peace keeping Operations for 1 year and 1 month. He was also assigned at DND GHQ, PA and served as VIP Security to former SEC Fortunato Abat, Secretary Eduardo Ermita, Secretary Orly Mercado and Secretary Angelo T Reyes.
Sms Alvin M Bacsa (Inf) PA, completed his Civilian and Military Schooling. He graduated Bachelor of Science in Criminology at Araullo University, Graduate of AFPSMC CL-11-14, Army NCO Course at NCOAS, TRADOC, PA, Camp Odoniel, Capas Tarlac, member of the Special Forces Course CL-83-94, Basic, Airborne Course Cl 72-95, and Parachute Packing Course CL- 01-96 at Special Forces School, Fort Magsaysay, Nueava, Ecija, Basic Signal Radio Operation Course and First Sergeant Training at 7DTS, 7ID, PA.
SMs Bacsa PA, philosophy is that continuous learning is one way to enhance his skills and knowledge. He also firmly believes that lifelong learning is important for career advancement and personal growth and being an efficient leader because he knows that having a healthy mind is just as important as having a healthy body. He believes that learning new things keeps our brain progressing.

SMS Alvin M Bacsa (INF) PA, is happily married to Mrs Marivic Viernes Bacsa Registered Medical Technologist and presently employed at Rural Health Unit, Benito Soliven Isabela, and blessed with two Daughters namely Mamiko Fenella V Bacsa Registered
Medical Technologist, and Kiana Pauline V Bacsa Student taking up BS Tourism at Lasallete University Santiago City Isabela.
