Road to 1 Million Trees: Army, DA, and Civilian Stakeholders Hand in Hand for Reforestation of Camp O’Donnell
Camp O’Donnell, Brgy Sta. Lucia, Capas, Tarlac – 480 fruit and non-fruit bearing trees were planted at the vicinity of the Headquarters of the 1st Tank Battalion, Armor Division, Philippine Army today, June 07, 2023, led by the Division Commander, Maj Gen. Facundo O Palafox IV, together with the civilian stakeholders of the command.
This activity is in celebration of the 47th Founding Anniversary of the Armor (Pambato) Division with the theme: Armor@47: Lethal, Excellent, Adept, Decisive on June 16, 2023, and also in line with the intent of the Philippine Army to plant and raise one million fruit-bearing trees nationwide.
This was attended by Division Headquarters and 1st Tank Battalion personnel, the Department of Agriculture who donated 150 fruit-bearing trees, AFP Finance Center Multi-Purpose Cooperative, and Cristo Rey High School Faculty and student representatives.
The tree planting site is the newly built headquarters of the 1st Tank Battalion within the Camp O’Donnell Military Reservation wherein a Blessing of Facility was also conducted for their Admin Building, Officers Quarters, and Enlisted Personnel Barracks.
