COLONEL NARCISO B NABULNEG JUNIOR PA is currently the chief of staff of the 5th infantry (star) division. he was born on 31 october 1971, in bayombong, nueva vizcaya, and is a proud member of the philippine military academy “marilag” class of 1995.
COLONEL NABULNEG JUNIOR was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the regular force of the armed forces of the philippines on 04 march 1995, after graduating from the philippine military academy.
COLONEL NABULNEG JUNIOR took up numerous military courses such as infantry officer basic and advance courses, marksmanship trainers course, joint, and combined operations course, command and staff operations law course, and command general staff course. in addition to his military schooling, he also took an in-country un humanitarian civilian-military coordination course, incident command system training course, and holds a master's degree in national security administration from the national defense college of the philippines, a master's degree in public management major in development and security from the development academy of the philippines, and a master's degree in public administration from saint mary's university. in the early years of his military career, colonel nabulneg jr served as a platoon leader and company executive officer of bravo company, 47th infantry battalion, 3rd infantry division based in central visayas and later deployed in southern mindanao; company commander of alpha company, 47th infantry battalion, 3rd infantry division based in central mindanao; became the battalion personnel, intelligence, cmo and operations officer of the same battalion; became the executive officer and later the commandant of division training unit, 5th infantry division; occupied different positions including being the officer in charge of the assistant chief of staff for operations, g3 of 5th infantry division; assigned in the assistant deputy chief of staff for operations j3, ghq; as chief of army operations center, hpa; battalion commander of 54th infantry battalion, 5th infantry division; assistant chief of staff for operations, g3 of 5th infantry division; and chief governance and strategy.
COLONEL NABULNEG JUNIOR is a seasoned and well- decorated officer. he is a recipient of numerous awards which includes gold cross medals for gallantry in action; silver cross medals for exemplary successful intelligence operations, bronze cross medals; military merit medals for meritorious achievements involving actual combats; and several civilian plaques of commendation and appreciation, all of which were awarded for his laudable achievements in community development, civil service, and other non-combat endeavours. accolades aside, colonel nabulneg junior considers having a supportive and loving family as the greatest honor he could ever have. his successes are all shared with his loving spouse, mrs. mary frace gamboa-nabulneg; his daughters, kiarah mae and karyn margareth, and his only son, kristian malik.
