Army Leadership Excellence Essential in Sustaining Gains against Threats, Says 6ID and JTF-Central commander

CAMP SIONGCO, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao del Norte — Major General Alex S. Rillera PA, Commander of the 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division and Joint Task Force Central, emphasized the crucial role of army leadership excellence in maintaining and advancing the gains against various threats. This statement was made during the opening of the NCO Leaders’ Seminar held at the NCO Club House at the 6ID headquarters this morning (June 5, 2024).
 
The annual NCO Leaders’ Seminar was attended by First Sergeants, Platoon Sergeants, female soldiers from line units, and representatives from various offices within the Division.
 
“In today’s complex and challenging environment, we need leaders who can think critically and solve problems creatively. We need leaders who can build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, and most importantly with our internal stakeholders, our men and women in the ranks. True enough, we need leaders who are committed to excellence and mission accomplishment,” stated Maj. Gen. Rillera in front of the seminar participants.
 
The NCO Leaders’ Seminar was spearheaded by Chief Master Sergeant Lyfrey H. Bascar, the Division Sergeant Major. An open forum and relevant discussion were also held, attended by Senior Master Sergeants from various units, including MSg Danilo D. Cabico, SM 6CMOBn; TSg Arniel F. Galilea, SM 6DTS; MSg Gary Love B. Seto, SM 6MIB; MSg Elizeer Ian G. Toledo, SM 6IB; MSg Linus V. Orgo, SM 57IB; SMS Raymund F. Betita, SM 1st Mechanized Brigade; and MSg Lowell C. Telloro, SM SSBN.
 
This seminar serves as a platform for enhancing leadership skills, fostering camaraderie, and promoting a deeper understanding of the roles and responsibilities of Non-Commissioned Officers within the organization.
