712 new recruits commence military training

FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – The Philippine Army welcomed 712 new recruits who are part of the One Training Factory Concept’s fourth batch commenced their four-month Basic Military Training (BMT) during the opening ceremony of the Candidate Soldier Course (CSC) Class 792-2024 at the Makabulos Grandstand, Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac on October 1, 2024.

 

“The Philippine Army needs soldiers who will stay true to our mandate and serve our country,” Initial Military Training Center (IMTC) Commander Col. Enriqueto R. Deocadez Jr., who served as the guest of honor and speaker, told the new recruits. The IMTC Commander challenged them to strive to complete the rigorous BMT by persevering and being obedient.

 

The new recruits will undergo the 16-week training that will transform them into physically and mentally competent, confident, and capable defenders of our nation. They will undergo a progressive, comprehensive and balanced training for them to embrace the Army’s core values of honor, patriotism and duty.

 

The recruits have diverse professional and vocational backgrounds which include construction, automotive, sustainment and logistics management, computers and information technology, engineering, healthcare, fine arts, communication arts, aviation and teaching. It can also be noted that 84 female trainees are part of the batch which highlights the Army’s commitment to gender equality.
