FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – Rescue and relief teams from the 525th Engineer Combat “Forerunner” Battalion of the Combat Engineer Regiment intensified relief and rescue efforts for families affected by successive typhoons in Santa Ana, Cagayan on November 15, 2024.
The Forerunner Battalion’s Light Urban Search and Rescue Team in close cooperation with other government responders hauled and distributed 238 relief packs to families in Barangays Diora Zinungan and Rapuli in Santa Ana town. The team also rescued a total of 14 vulnerable residents affected by the extensive flooding in Barangays Samok, Bato and Marede also in the same town.
The Army leadership assures the Filipino people of the Army HADR teams’ operational readiness and commitment to help save calamity-afflicted families and provide aid to communities affected by the recent successive storms that affected most of Luzon.
