Army commemorates 161st Bonifacio Day

FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City - The Philippine Army commemorated the 161st birth anniversary of Gat Andres Bonifacio in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on November 30, 2024.

"As we pay homage to the Supremo, we remember not just the man but also what he up stood for: Unwavering courage and fierce patriotism. He was a warrior who embodied the very spirit of resilience--a value the resonates deeply within our ranks," Army Chief of Staff Brig. Gen. Yegor Rey P. Baroquillo Jr. said on behalf of Army Chief Lt. Gen. Roy M Galido during the ceremony.

In commemorating Bonifacio Day, the Philippine Army reaffirms its dedication to the ideals of heroism and national service. The organization remains steadfast in fostering unity and a sense of purpose among its personnel, reinforcing its core purpose of serving the people and securing the land.
