FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija - Two projects under the Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad (TIKAS) Program of the Department of National Defense (DND) and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) -- the 7ID Center and New Grandstand -- were inaugurated 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division, Philippine Army, Fort Ramon Magsaysay, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija on May 22, Monday.
Said projects were instrumental in the improvement of various facilities of the AFP in 7ID that boost the morale of the Kaugnay soldiers as it improves their billeting and workplace.
Major General Andrew D. Costelo, commander of the 7ID, extended his gratitude to DND Senior Undersecretary Carlito G. Galvez Jr. and the DPWH through Engineer Elpidio Y. Trinidad for the successful implementation of the projects in 7ID.
“We couldn’t have these projects without the hard work and dedication of the leadership of the DND, and through Asst. Sec. Ramos and the DPWH, through Engr. Trinidad and the rest of their team who worked tirelessly from day one to make today pa reality,” Maj. Gen. Costelo said.
Meanwhile, Asst. Sec. Ramos represented DND OIC Senior Undersecretary Carlito Galvez Jr. during the ceremony and extended his gratitude for the significant feats achieved by the 7ID to promote peace and development in Luzon.
“Bilang pagkilala ng sambayanan sa inyong serbisyo at sakripisyo na isinakatuparan sa ilalim ng TIKAS Program katuwang ang DPWH. Kaya pinapasalamatan natin for the lasting edifice they built for our soldiers. The completion of the Grandstand and 7ID Center is not just a fulfillment of your mandate but the appreciation of your role being played for the development of our nation,” said ASec. Ramos.
ASec. Ramos also recognized the TIKAS Program as it paved the way for the modernization of various military bases and facilities of the AFP nationwide which increases the outcome of uplifting the morale and improving the living condition and work environment of the troops.
It can be recalled that last 2021, the DND-DPWH also inaugurated the New Administration Building in 7ID as well as those infrastructure projects in other Philippine Army Major Units inside Fort Magsaysay.
